Milagu kuzhambu

If  you want some spicy sambar,go for this milagu kuzhambu.It tastes yummy with cabbage karamathu /  poriyal.
Ingredients :
Tamarind - amla size
Milagu/black pepper -1 tbsp 
Urad dhal - 1 tbsp
Toor dhal - 1 tbsp
Oil - 1 tbsp
Red chilly - 3 or 4 nos
Asafoetida - a pinch
Salt - to taste
Jaggery - a small piece (optional)
Curry leaves - few
 Method :
Soak tamarind in warm water for 15 minutes and extract it`s pulp.Heat a kadai,add a little oil and all the other ingredients (except salt). Grind them to a fine paste and add it to the tamarind extract along with salt.Boil for sometime time.Mix rice flour with little water till it comes to a batter consistency and add it to the boiling kuzhambu.When the kuzhambu becomes thick,turn off the stove.Season with mustard seeds.(If you prefer,you can even add a little piece of jaggery).Serve hot with rice.Even roasted papad goes well with this kuzhambu.
