Cauliflower poricha kootu


Ingredients:
Urad dhal - 1/2 tbsp
Milagu - 4 nos
Dhaniya - 1/4 tsp
Red chilly - 2 nos
Cauliflower florets - 1 cup
Coconut (shredded) - 2 tbsp
A pinch of  asafoetidita
Salt  - to taste
Method:Heat the cauliflower florets in water till it becomes tender.Pressure cook moong dhal and keep aside.Heat little oil in a pan and add urad dhal, milagu, dhaniya, asafoetida and red chilly.Fry till golden brown and grind along with coconut into a fine paste.Now add the cauliflower florets, salt and the paste to the cooked moong dhal and cook for 5 minutes.Season with mustard seeds and urad dhal.Garnish with coriander leaves.
[Mix rice flour with water and add this mixture to the kootu to make it thick.You can use chow chow, cabbage, brinjal or broccoli ]
