
Parangikai - cut into cubes (one cup)
Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
Jeera / jeeragam - 1/4 tsp
Gram dhal / Kadalai paruppu - 1 tbsp
Toor dhal / Thuvaram paruppu - 1 tbsp
Vendhayam - 1/4 tsp
Asafoetida / Perungayam - 1/4 tsp
Red chilly - 2 nos
Tamarind - lemon size
Sesame oil / gingelly oil - 2 tbsp
Method :

mustard seeds, jeera, spilt red chillies, thuvaram paruppu, kadalai paruppu, vendhayam, perungayam. When the mustard seeds and jeera splutters, add the diced parangikkai, curry leaves and sambar powder. Saute for a couple of minutes.Now add the tamarind extract.When the kuzhambu starts to boil, mix 1 tbsp of rice flour with water and add this paste to get a thicker consistency.
