This is another mouth watering sweet dish prepared during Srijayanthi, Avani avittam and other occasions
Ingredients:
Maida flour - 1 cup
Rice flour / arisi mavu - 2 tbsp
Cardamom / Elachi powder - 1/4 tsp
Pieces of Jaggery / vellam - 1 cup
Method:
Powder jaggery, add little water to it.Soak it for 10 minutes and strain it without dirt.Now add all the flours, cardamom powder and little water.Mix them all and bring it to batter consistency.Heat a heavy bottom kadai and add enough oil for frying.When the oil is ready for frying,turn the stove to medium flame and pour a laddle of this batter.Fry till golden brown on both the sides.
