It`s a tasty snack usually sold by the street vendors.They sell it in two options,one is the plain boiled (avicha) verkadalai and another with all the masala.My mom buys them for me and my sister when we return from the temple.It would be nice to have these warm kadalai one by one while walking back home.It can easily be prepared at home and relished with a stewing hot coffee or tea in rainy days.Ingredients:
Groundnuts / Verkadalai - 1/2 kg
Salt - to taste
Method:
Soak the groundnuts (i usually prefer with shells ) in water and add salt (as per taste prefered).Now pressure cook it for 3 whistles.Turn off the stove and let it cool.Now break the shells and you can have the tasty verkadalai.
