This kuzhambu would be ideal if you want a change from vathakuzhambu or paruppu based kuzhambu.
Ingredients :
Tamarind - lemon size
Red chilly - 4 nos
Urad dhal - 1 1/2 tsp
Milagu- 1/4 tsp
Mustard - 1/2 tsp
Asafoetida - 1/4 tsp
curry leaves - 1 cup
Salt - to taste.
Method:
Fry urad dhal,milagu,red chillies and asafoetida in a little oil and let it cool.Grind them along with salt, tamarind and curry leaves (raw) to a fine paste.Add some water to the paste and mix well to a kuzhambu consistency.Boil the kuzhambu till the raw smell goes.Season with mustard seeds.
